Ed has been at the heart of Greenbelt’s growth and land conservation success for over thirty years. During this time, he has led the transformation of Greenbelt from a small
three-person operation to its current position as one of the most effective and highly-respected land conservation trusts in the country. Ed’s exceptional abilities, integrity and
passion for conserving land and nature define him. As Ed prepares to retire, we are honoring his legacy in several ways.
A Farewell Celebration
The support for Ed has been tremendous! We've had an overwhelming response to the Ed'Stival event on Sunday, September 30th. Unfortunately, we have reached physical capacity for Cox
Reservation and can no longer accept RSVPs.
Date: Sunday, September 30, from 3:00 - 6:00 pm at Cox Reservation in Essex (82 Eastern Ave).
The Ed Becker Fund for Green Initiatives
In recognition of Ed’s outstanding achievements, Greenbelt has established the Ed Becker Fund for Green Initiatives, an unrestricted source of funding for critical land protection
opportunities. Our goal is to raise $250,000 for this fund by September 30th.
Greenbelt is grateful to several professional and staff photographers whose work is featured prominently within our website.
Thank you Jerry Monkman / ecophotography.com, Lynne Holton, Kindra Clineff, Adrian Scholes and John Raleigh.
