Description
Bald Hill West consists
of 222 acres, composed of six seperate gifts of land near the Boxford
town line. From a natural history perspective, this area is a mosaic
of habitat which support an extraordinary diversity of plant and
animal life. The Bald Hill West Reservation offers an excellent
place to study mammals. Acting as the westerly gate to the Boxford
State Forest, these woodlots are part of a much larger wildlife
refuge. In the winter months, it is rewarding to don snowshoes or
cross country skis and head out across the woods. |
