Property Description
Bald Hill West consists of 222 acres, composed of six seperate gifts of land near the Boxford town line. From a natural history perspective, this area is a mosaic of habitat which support an extraordinary diversity of plant and animal life. The Bald Hill West Reservation offers an excellent place to study mammals. Acting as the westerly gate to the Boxford State Forest, these woodlots are part of a much larger wildlife refuge. In the winter months, it is rewarding to don snowshoes or cross country skis and head out across the woods.

Directions
From the Danvers intersection of Route 1 and 62:
Head west 2.0 miles on Route 62 into Middleton. Turn right onto Liberty Street. Drive 2.5 miles on Liberty Street to where the pavement ends. The entrance is another 0.2 mile down the dirt road, on the right where three walls converge on a lane and a pipe gate bars the way. Be sure the gate is closed after you pass through; cows are pastured on this property.
