foot tower is on the property that my house sits on. So, I view the action on a daily basis. this is the latest that we have seen an osprey on the towers.
I believe this osprey is a young one who stayed in the nest for a long time, often insisting that the adult feed it, this is from early September. The adult left about 9/11 This young one is fishing and feeding itself, finally.

Saw one of the fledglings on the nest around noon. Went back at 4 and saw it fly in from the river area. I wish I could say whether it had a fish. Did go to nest and may have been eating.. No sign of the other three for well over a week. Have been a little concerned about this one. Obviously flies fine after a later start. I’m assuming nature will kick in and he’ll be on his way soon. Not crying or showing any signs of distress.

I have checked the nest multiple times since yesterday (Sunday) morning, some from the recording. It looks as though Atty left the nest around 830am yesterday and maybe hasn't returned (?). At least I haven't seen him back on it with multiple check-ins over that timeframe. Hope someone else had/has a sighting.

Atty is on 27.8.2023 at 8:19 a.m. departed. He hasn't returned since then. What is unusual is that, unlike usual, he flew off in the other direction, namely in the direction of the camera. I really hope he's fine. :-(

sorry didn't notice
We watched a young (we assume) osprey practicing hunting. It dived straight down and came up with a large fish. It got a few feet out of the water and couldn't keep rising and sank back down into the water, flapping and holding its head above the surface. It tried a couple more times to get out of the water with the fish, but in the end it splashed its way to shore with no fish. We heard it plaintively peeping while it shook itself off. Then it took off.

At first, I looked at the nest and saw no osprey, but a seagull sitting there. I thought they might have all gone already (but is it early?). Then I saw one bird circling nearby. As he/she got higher in the air, I noticed a 2nd, then a 3rd, soaring really high up. I watched them for a while, just riding the thermals. I suspect one is the juvenile, but I couldn't tell which one. This made me really happy to see!

One of the two juvenile osprey was on the nest. Just looking around. This is the second time (also 8/23) I've only seen one. Wondering if the others have left. Maybe the others are fishing but usually make an appearance if I wait long enough. Curious this one wouldn't be with them. On 8/23 he was on the other light stand nest that they abandoned after rebuilding. Quiet not making any vocalizations.

One large osprey flew into the area of the nest and perched on a nearby tree. Immediately following this, a smaller osprey flew in and entered the nest. The size difference was significant enough ton assume the smaller one was a fledgling. I was please to see that he was flying as a couple of weeks ago he was hesitant to leap off of the nest. There was no interaction between the 2 osprey. The adult flew off at some point but I didn’t notice the time. The fledgling remained sitting in the nest.

Observed 2 adults perched on the tower, one below the nest and one right next to the nest. One bird (probably the fledgling) was in the nest, looking out but no flapping. I did not see the other nestling (I'm not 100% certain there was a 2nd little one, but I thought I saw one a couple of times), so wondering if it did not make it. The fledgling seemed to be nearly as big as the adults, so hopefully it has already flown.

This little fledgling was just sitting for about 10 mins. Then suddenly got up on the edge o the nest and was testing his(her) wings and trying to fly. He made several attempts. His wings appeared wide and strong, but he just couldn’t launch. I had hoped he would take advantage of a wind gust. I found myself cheering him on. It was sad that he had no siblings to work with. After about 10 mins. He brought his wigs back down and just sat on the edge of the nest.
This was the best day of observation that I have had over the past 2 summers. Because of the limited visibility of the nest, I can’t see eggs, nestlings, or feeding. Watching this little guy trying to take off was a real treat although frustrating and sad. I didn’t even feel my aching arms from holding up my binoculars for 20 mins. (HAH!)

Observed what I thought was an empty nest at first, and 1 adult perched on a boat nearby.
