• Greenbelt welcomes grants from Donor Advised Funds (DAFs). Donors can recommend both one-time and recurring gifts, and may designate Greenbelt as the full or partial beneficiary of the fund.

• Transferring stock to Greenbelt is simple and can benefit the donor by providing an income tax deduction for the full market value of the donated stock. Additionally, donors can avoid paying capital gains taxes on the appreciation value of the stock.

To make a tribute gift in honor or memory or someone, please use the tribute field on Greenbelt’s donation form, or indicate your tribute intention when donating by mail.

• Also known as an IRA rollover, donors aged 70 1⁄2 and over can make charitable gifts directly from their IRA account without incurring federal income tax on the withdrawal. Contact your IRA administrator and instruct them to transfer funds to Greenbelt.
