The 65-acre Crystal Gorge is part of the larger 300-acre Crystal Lake Conservation Area, featuring a stunning landscape of small streams, wetlands, and vernal pools nestled between rocky ledges. This dramatic terrain lies adjacent to recently conserved Greenbelt watershed land. Our moderate 2-3 mile hike will explore both the city-owned Crystal Gorge and the newly extended Greenbelt trail.

Guiding the hike will be Rachel Horgan, Greenbelt’s Director of Development and Community Engagement, alongside landowner Ken Meserve. Ken’s land is protected by a Conservation Restriction (CR) through Greenbelt, which helped make the trail extension possible.
