If you’ve ever worried about what you would do if your dog needed first aid on the trail (or at home!), this 4-hour class is a great way to build a basic understanding of your pet’s health. You will learn how to recognize abnormal behaviors, measure your dog’s vital signs, treat some common injuries, choose the right evacuation procedures, and provide CPR if needed. While many of the lessons in this class may also be applicable to cats, this particular class is focused on treating dogs.
You do not need to bring your dog to the class, but you’ll take home plenty of knowledge to practice with your pet later!
This class is for ages 14 and up, but any participants younger than 16 must be accompanied by an adult and both must purchase seats in the class.
[Note: While Greenbelt’s events are generally free, this type of class requires extensive training and certification on the part of the instructors, so unfortunately we cannot cover the cost for participants. Thank you for understanding!]
Cost for this event is $95
