Nature at Night

Winter in New England can be challenging, with short days and long nights that make us want to retreat indoors. Yet, each season offers lessons about the natural world, including winter. Greenbelt’s 8th annual Film & Lecture Series highlights the beauty of the season’s darkness, encouraging us to view it not as a time for withdrawal but as an opportunity for discovery. These events aim to ease winter solitude by offering engaging topics and fostering a sense of community and shared learning. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy refreshments and connect with fellow nature enthusiasts, helping to rekindle inner light during the darkest time of year.

All Film & Lecture Series events are FREE, but pre-registration is required (so we know how many seats and snacks to have ready for you!). Every venue has a maximum seating capacity and seats will go to registered attendees first, so don’t wait! If you need an accommodation, please call or email us in advance.
