Ed has been at the heart of Greenbelt’s growth and land conservation success for over thirty years. During this time, he has led the transformation of Greenbelt from a small three-person operation to its current position as one of the most effective and highly-respected land conservation trusts in the country. Ed’s exceptional abilities, integrity and passion for conserving land and nature define him. As Ed prepares to retire, we are honoring his legacy in several ways.
In recognition of Ed’s outstanding achievements, Greenbelt has established the Ed Becker Fund for Green Initiatives, an unrestricted source of funding for critical land protection opportunities.
